There are many companies that produce SaaS (Software as a Service). There are a few companies that offer BaaS (Backend as a Server). The last push to creating our own was with a well known SaaS provider who was connected to a well known BaaS provider, and after a week of attempting to connect the front end and the back end together, we became diligent about creating WaaS.
WaaS is the culmination of almost three years of work in a futile attempt to build a multi-tenant stack. We tried using the vibe coders, we tried using the SaaS with headless BaaS and got sold on RLS (Row Level Security), only to find out that in order to tie the two together, not to mention all the other SaaS apps to try to integrate, we had to have several github repos.
